Hello everyone!!! I hope this posts finds everyone well and happy, that you ALL had a wonderful Christmas time, and that tonight, New Year’s eve is everything you wish for.
I want to write this post to say goodbye to 2015 properly, to be grateful, thoughtful, and aware of the growth one more year brought to my life.
As some of you might know, tomorrow January 1st, is my BIRTHDAY! (yeeeeiiii!!!)… and not just any birthday, but my 30th (wow!). I am very happy and I feel very blessed of being where I am and who I am, and that is also thanks to all of you people in my life 🙂 Thank you… for the good, the bad, the spectacular and the horrid 😛
In January 2015 I was not feeling so great… My (then) boyfriend left Panama, I felt heartbroken, and with the “small” task of getting my work back on track, sell/give away ALL my possessions, and move to Romania so we could be together.
The first 3 months of the year went by in a blur of running, hurrying, working, working, working… but I survived! … in part thanks to the dearest friends I made in Panama, I carry you all with me always in my heart, you were ALL sooo good to me 🙂 thank you for keeping me company, motivate me to go out and have fun, and make an effort to spend time with me and say goodbye. I hope our paths cross again.
Arriving here in Romania was not easy, it took me some work and time to adapt… but finally, sooner rather than later I felt at home 🙂
April and May were lovely, enjoying the spring and the novelty… June was hellish!!! full of set backs, bad news, and what felt like impossible problems to solve. I learned a lot about faith and what God wants for me in that month. The ones that were part of it know how HARD it was, and I thank you all for making it possible!.
The next few months went by in a blur (yes, again!) of paperwork for my residency, lots and lots of waiting, lots of heat and sun with the Summer (I felt back in Latin America!), tons of applications, interviews, and jobs offers… Until FINALLY in October I got my residency permit and I started working in Oracle Romania, were I found a new family, the best boss I’ve ever had, and the funniest, kindest, friendliest co-workers I could have ever asked for. New friends, in yet another foreign land.
I feel so happy… so blessed… so grateful… Thanks 2015, 2016 has some big shoes to fill.
See you all next year!
